Hey Lovelies!

I hope you're all doing great. I'm just enjoying the chill and spending time traveling through the gorgeous city.
As I was leaving for a vacation, I realized that most of the room in my luggage was occupied by makeup, most of which I didn't need. I was carrying huge palettes just for a couple of shades that I liked. I tried getting customized palettes which, obviously, cost a fortune.
So, I got frustrated and began searching for budget friendly eye shadows that fit in my budget as well as my bag!
So here I am, Today I'll be reviewing the Revlon Colorstay Shadow links Eyeshadow in Melon.
Stay tuned for the review.

MY EXPERIENCE:

The Revlon Colorstay Shadowlinks Eyeshadow stole my heart as soon as I saw it, the most amazing feature about it would be that these eye shadows can be interlinked to create your own customized palette. They come in almost 30 different shades to choose from. I picked melon because it looked very coral and suits most skin tones.

PACKAGING :
The Revlon Colorstay Shadowlinks Eyeshadow comes in a very simple, yet unique packaging. The lid is transparent so that you can see the shade of the eye shadow while the rest of the body is black. The black, square pan- packaging is unique because you can easily 'link' the eye shadows together to create a palette or detach them whenever you need to! The packaging is quite travel friendly as you don't need to carry a whole palette just for a few shades.

SHADE, PIGMENTATION & CONSISTENCY:
The shade Melon, is a beautiful pale peachy shade with a satin finish. The eye shadow does not have the too shimmery finish, but it's more on the subtle matte side. The consistency is very smooth and the texture is not chalky. The pigmentation is worst. It is less pigmented and needs to layered up several times to show on to your lids. The shade is beautiful, I wished the pigmentation was much better.

RESULT :
Although, the eye shadow has minimal fallout, the staying power & it's pigmentation is a total turnoff for me. It glides on easily without being patchy. It's also quite easy to blend it with darker colors. I use it to create a bold look with black eye shadow on the outer creases.

STAYING POWER :
The staying power of the eye shadow, is average. It stays on for about 2 hours after which it starts to fade bit by bit. However, you can build it up by applying a creamy base or primer underneath.

MY FINAL THOUGHTS :
I have mixed feelings about Revlon Colorstay Shadowlinks Eyeshadow in Melon, on one hand, I love the peachy shade but the staying power & pigmentation puts me back. Overall, it's a decent eye shadow. I think I'd like to try more from Revlon as they are hard to miss.

So true..!! The packaging is quite convenient but the pigmentation is bad...I wish other shades perform better.. :)
